Made-to-order rings are crafted after you place your order, so it helps to be sure of your size first. Meli rings such as the Totem Ring and the Omnia Ring come in sizes 2 to 9.5, in half-size steps. Here is how to find yours.
Method 1: Measure a ring you already own
Choose a ring that fits the finger you plan to wear the new one on. Measure the inside diameter across the widest point, and compare it with a ring size chart, or use a ring sizer.
Method 2: Measure your finger
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or string around the base of your finger.
- Mark where it overlaps, then measure the length in millimeters.
- Compare that circumference to a ring size chart.
Tips for a better fit
- Measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are at their largest.
- Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, since fingers shrink in the cold.
- Your knuckle matters. The ring has to slide over it and still sit snugly at the base.
- Measure more than once, on different days.
If you are between sizes
Wider or stacked bands, like the Totem Ring, can feel snugger than a thin band, so many people go up a half size. If you are unsure, ask us before ordering through the contact page.
Ring size for a different finger
Fingers on your dominant hand are often slightly larger, and different fingers have different sizes. Measure the exact finger the ring will go on, and remember a ring worn on your index finger will usually be a bigger size than one worn on your pinky.
Rings worn together
If you plan to wear two rings on the same finger, measure with both on, or think about sizing up slightly so they do not feel tight.
